Outdoor patios, locally-sourced food, cozy coffee shops, craft beers and treats – Austin has it all. And when it’s time for us to take a break from content creation and strategy sessions, we have a few staples that we are guaranteed to enjoy. Whether you’ve lived in Austin for two days or 20 years, we’re certain you’ll love our list of favorite eats and treats in ATX.

Jacoby’s

Located in East Austin on the Colorado River, Jacoby’s is not only notable for its all-natural food and beef that is born, raised and processed in Central Texas, but also for the wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is built from up-cycled materials from the Jacoby farms to give a true rustic ranch feel. With plenty of nice outdoor seating, craft beer and great food, this restaurant is sure to be a favorite.

Elizabeth Street Cafe

This super cute French-Vietnamese cafe in South Austin serving breakfast, lunch and dinner is also a staple. In addition, this restaurant has a great made-from-scratch bakery. We recommend: their brunch menu! It’s hard to beat the House Baked Brioche French Toast made with Fredericksburg peaches.

Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop

This local bakery made headlines and notoriety around the world for their four-foot-long birthday cake for rapper Kanye West. Their impressive list of baked goods is a testament to Sugar Mama’s dedication to providing fresh, delicious treats. We recommend: the French Toast cupcake!

Easy Tiger

Both bake shop and beer garden, Easy Tiger is a great place to spend some time with friends in downtown Austin. They have a nice outdoor patio, ping pong tables and often live music!

Mozart’s

Set along the edge of Lake Austin, Mozart’s offers flame-roasted gourmet coffee, an array of delicious desserts and incredible lake views from their iconic outdoor patio. And if that’s not enough to intrigue you, enjoy live entertainment on the weekends and a choreographed Holiday Light Show from November through January.
