Our home city of Austin is a summertime mecca. If you can stand the heat, then this kitchen is well worth staying in. And if we know anything at all about the summertime, it’s that its warm, spontaneous aesthetic plays very well on social channels.

Do you find yourself stressing out about where in town to take your next summertime ‘gram? Well, feel free to relax… here’s a very chill list of nearby locales sure to bring some much-needed summer vibes into your feed:

Deep Eddy Pool –  One of Austin’s best municipal pools,  Deep Eddy has a great balance of rich green grass surrounding their refreshing blue water. Don’t be afraid to play with the contrast here, as you’ll want to convey a nice pastoral sense of golden-age Americana with this shot.

Sno-Beach – One of Austin’s original food trailers, Sno-Beach is open for the summer season, and serving up some of the best shaved ice in the city. The location off of Barton Springs is near Auditorium Shores and the Long Center. Take a pic of your delicious treat with one of those landmarks in the background, and just get ready for the barrage of double-taps.

Dell Diamond – Take me out to the ballin’est Insta spot in town. Hold out your perfectly dressed hot dog in front of the field, filter, then caption with something like, “Hanging with the boys of summer.” Then turn off your push notifications, or else your phone might overheat from all the likes you’re going to get!

A Kayak or Paddle Board on Lady Bird Lake – A rite of passage for any self-respecting Austin Instagrammer. Bonus likes if you brought your dog. Bonus likes if you get the skyline in the pic. Bonus likes if you somehow incorporate yoga into the pic.

The Oasis on Lake Travis – Go for the view, stay for the view. Recommended caption: “This weekend was one for the books.”
